Shmoop: A fun, kicky little site with a lot of information; mostly focused on North American and English writers, this site still has some international appeal to it; don’t be fooled by the “Surfing Shakespeare!”

Online Glossary of Literary Terms: More general terms than focused criticism, this site is an easy to read and use resource; don’t let the advertisements distract you.

Literary Criticism Collection: Part of iPL2 (Internet Public Library), this site offers some useful links to various biographical information on authors of literary criticism. It is by no means an exhaustive list of resources (and by its own admission, it does not strive to be such), but it can act as an entry point to the world of literary criticism.
